30th September 2009:
Some good news received - the stolen donkeys reported recently have all been found and returned to their owner.

• New events: BHS Bedfordshire events have been added: New Horse & Pony Course starting 13/4/2010 - see Training & Clinics; Annual Meeting 23/10/09 and Holistic Approach to Animal Aromatherapy (same day) - see Events-Others.

29th September 2009:
You may have read in the equine press some rumblings about the government "taxing" horses to raise funds for dealing with outbreaks of things like African Horse sickness.

A web-site has been set up to co-ordinate a campaign against this. They have calculated that it will cost over £2million to raise £4million in "taxes". Bonkers! Please have a look, and also sign the petition that they've started on the No 10 web-site. Link: www.RethinktheHorseTax.org

28th September 2009:

• New events - "Jumping to Improve Confidence for beginners or for Young Horses" at Moats Way Equestrian - 7/11 & 6/12 - see Events-Training & Clinics.

16th September 2009:

• Horsewatch notice received - including news that the 12 week old foal stolen in July has been found safe and well, and re-united with her mum.

• New event - table top sale of equestrian items (under cover) this Saturday at the Flying Cat - see Events-Others.
• The Eventer Trial planned at Twin Trees this Sunday (20th Sept) will now be a show jumping event, due to ground conditions. Visit www.twintrees.net for further information.

13th September 2009:
REALLY SORRY - but due to staff shortages (can you believe there are now FOUR of us on the payroll, and no-one can cover) we will be opening slightly later tomorrow morning (Monday 14th). I should be there by 11am - 11.30am. Apologies for any inconvenience.
